FILM MIXING

We can mix all formats used in modern film distribution in our mixing studios including Dolby ATMOS. We use our film mixing studio mostly for mixing films that will be distributed theatrically. We also have smaller units that we use for mixing material for television, DVD distribution, VOD services and online distribution.

We can mix all digital formats used in movie theaters. The size of our mixing studio is 140 square meters.

Our mixing console is a 96-channel fully digital Harrison MPC that is connected to Pro Tools HD and Pyramix workstations.

We can also change the speed of your film (between 24 and 25 frames per second) and fix the pitch of the sound required by the change.

STUDIO RECORDING

We offer film sound postproduction services: rerecording, foley recording and sound effect recording. The studio is built around a Pro Tools HD workstation, and is equipped with 5.1 monitoring. You can see from the monitoring room into the recording studio where you can watch the film on a big screen. The size of the recording studio is 35 square meters. In addition to rerecording, we can record foley effects. For this we have different surfaces and a variety of props.

SOUND EDITING

We can take care of all stages of sound editing in our studios, which are equipped with Pro Tools DAWs. We also have access to extensive sound effect libraries.

We have three sound editing units at Meguru. They all have identical Pro Tools HD workstations and 5.1 monitoring. Each has access to a sound effect library. One of the units can also be used for image editing (Avid Media Composer). The largest unit can be used for client screenings.

FILM RECORDING ON LOCATION

We also offer film recording services on location. We have versatile recording equipment that meets the requirements of bigger productions. We can do the recording ourselves, or we can hire freelance recordists. The equipment is available to rent as well.

SERVICE PACKAGES

We can tailor film sound packages that include all the necessary services for your film production. Your director may also bring his or her sound designer into the sound production process. We can also create the framework where recordists and sound designers from outside our company can work the way that suits them best. We do this to make the producer's work easier; we can offer packages that offer all stages of film sound production.

TRANSFERS, RESTORING AND MASTERING

We can transfer and convert almost all analog and digital formats. We also work on the film sound in digitalization and restoring of films.
We also have fully working 35 mm, 17.5 mm and 16 mm magnetic film equipment.

EDUCATION

Meguru film sound Oy is active in designing the curriculum at film schools where our sound designers teach as well, especially in the sound design departments. We offer discounts on sound design and mixing services for school productions, and we can also include education in the packages. You may inquire about interning at Meguru.
